On Your Toes Academy Of Dance

Marisa Edler

Marisa Edler (Vernon Hills, Illinois) is a graduate with a BFA in Contemporary Dance and a
minor in Arts Management from Indiana University. Since she was five years old, she has been
dancing and trained at On Your Toes Academy of Dance, dancing with them competitively for
four years. Danced for her high school dance team and participated as well as choreographed
for her high school Orchesis club. In 2019 she created a dance film Passing Me By in Junior
Choreographic Piece: Framing Figures, in 2021 choreographed a piece Us in Advanced
Choreographic Project, and in 2022 choreographed Unraveling Tulips for her Senior Capstone
show. Marisa enjoys choreographing, dancing, and teaching. For the past four summers, she
taught at Vernon Hills High School and On Your Toes Academy of Dance. At Indiana University,
she has been a part of Junior Choreographic Piece: Hatched (2018), Slip (2019), Senior
Capstone: New Moves (2019), Junior Choreographic Piece: Bodies in Bold (2019), Shifting
Landscapes (2020), Sounding Bodies: Winter Dance Concert (2020), Senior Capstone: New
Moves (2021), Earthward (2021), and Senior Capstone: New Moves (2022). Marisa wants to
